Preventive Dentistry [ Maintaining good dental health ]
Preventive dentistry is the ongoing care used to prevent the occurrence of tooth decay and other dental diseases. The basis of sound dental care is routine cleaning and maintenance. Every patient [even denture patients] needs to be seen at least once a year. Many patients benefit from professional cleanings that are more frequent than every six months, especially those who don’t floss daily. We customize cleanings based on your periodontal, (gums and bone), health. We utilize medicated gels along with prescription mouth rinses in problem areas if necessary. Ultrasonic scalers are sometimes used to make the procedure more comfortable and effective as well.

Cosmetic Dentistry [ Improving the appearance ]
While traditional dentistry focuses on oral hygiene and preventing, diagnosing, and treating oral disease, cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of a person’s teeth, mouth, and smile. In other words restorative, general and/or family dental practices address dental problems that require necessary treatment, whereas cosmetic dentistry provides elective — or desired — treatments or services.

Orthodontics [ Treatment restores function and esthetics for a beautiful smile ]
Years ago, orthodontic treatments were used only for pre-teens and teens having problems with their bites (malocclusion). Today, orthodontic treatments like dental braces are not only for pre-teens and teens but for adults as well. Despite this growing trend towards adult orthodontics, it pays to start orthodontic treatment early for maximum effectiveness. The American Dental Association recommends that children receive an orthodontic evaluation by age seven.

Dental Implants [ Strong, durable, and natural in appearance ]
Implants are bridges that are permanently anchored into the jaw. Because there is always a perfect fit, dental implants are almost the same as having your natural teeth back again. To qualify for implants, you’ll need healthy oral tissues and jawbone ridges that are in good shape. If you’re suffering from tooth loss, talk with us about whether implants are an option for you.

Dental Crowns [ Preserving Damaged Teeth ]
Dental crowns, also known as “caps,” preserve the functionality of damaged teeth. Crowns may be used to protect a cracked tooth, restore the functionality of a tooth with excessive decay, or replace a pre-existing crown.

Dentures [ A Restorative Solution for Missing Teeth ]
Complete dentures are used to replace missing teeth for people with no remaining teeth. Dentures may also be used for people who have lost several teeth. In this case, the appliance is called a partial denture or an overdenture.

Root Canals [ Keep your tooth and stop the pain ]
Endodontic treatment, more commonly known as root canal therapy, is necessary when the pulp of your tooth becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes such as deep decay, repeated dental procedures on your tooth, or a crack or chip in the tooth. With proper care, an Endodontically treated tooth will function normally for years to come.

Wisdom Teeth [ Removal is often the wisest decision for your health and well-being ]
Wisdom teeth, or third molars, are the last teeth to erupt in your mouth and are the teeth least needed for good oral health. Most people have four wisdom teeth that usually erupt through the gums in their late teens or early twenties. Sometimes wisdom teeth remain trapped in the jawbone under the gums because there is insufficient room for them to erupt.

Veneers [ Removal is often the wisest decision for your health and well-being ]
Porcelain veneers, alternatively termed dental veneers or dental porcelain laminates, are ultra-thin shells of ceramic material that are bonded onto the front side of teeth so to create a cosmetic improvement for a tooth. Porcelain veneers are routinely used by dentists as a way to make cosmetic changes for teeth that are discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned.

People who grind their teeth can sometimes develop a serious problem with their jaw, which left untreated, can adversely affect the teeth, gums and bone structures of the mouth. One of the most common jaw disorders is related to a problem with the temporomandibular joint, the joint that connects your lower jaw to your skull, and allows your upper and lower jaw to open and close and facilitates chewing and speaking.
